Salad Plus Cheese Bread That Will Ruin Any Diet!

Everyday is a good day to pamper yourself with good food. Eat at Clearman's North Woods Inn and you'll forget about your troubles- probably because you will sleep the away with food coma from the amount of food you get. The restaurant looks like a log cabin at a snow resort complete with fake snow and all. The floor is filled with peanut shells. You're actually asked to eat their complimentary peanuts and toss them on the floor over your shoulder! How convenient. Some poor soul gets to act like your mother and pick up after you eventually.

Here's their menu... VIOLA!!! BAM!
There's combos with a lot of food and sandwiches too but they are famous for their spread that they make their cheese bread with and.... their salad!!!
Here's their mountain of delicious peanuts they keep bringing you. Remember to throw the shells on the floor!
Drool. Here's the best part of Clearman's. Their salad and cheese bread. It doesn't even matter what they serve, just their freebies is enough to make me come here. I always wish that I didn't need to order and I could just get a free meal off eating their salads. We're so asian and cheap that we have them refill our cheese bread and salad before packing it to go for us. Score for another day's worth of food!
The most amazing salad ever. The cabbage has this vinegary taste to it, while the salad just taste like cheesey/ ranchy amazingness. Together you are in heaven.
Here's their famous lumberjack steak. I'm not a big fan of steak in general just because I love my Kobe beef from Japanese places. It's hard to complete with that. But when I think of this place in being a higher class version of Black Angus, I'm reminded that this much food is worth it.
Here was the Mahi Mahi dinner. The fish was a little dry but again I didn't come here for the dinner. I came for the awesome free salad and cheese bread. Plus, their baked potato came with cheese cream!

This place is worth it just for their salad! Plus, a snow capped log cabin in hot weather is a sight to see. 7247 Rosemead Blvd. San GabrielCA 91775. They have another location in West Covina.

Eating Contest: Alondra's Atomic Challenge

I may be an adventurous eater but I'm not a dumb eater. I can't say the same thing for the my Bf & friends. They decided to go to Alondra's Hot Wings and take their Atomic Challenge. Since I wasn't about to light my insides on fire with their hot wings, I decided to record them do it instead. Here's their video.

So while my friends were having their insides lit on fire, I decided to try some of their other things to eat.
Alondra's sodas were made with fresh fruit so I got the strawberry sprite & my other friend got their cherry coke! Yum!
Here is a picture of those atomic wings. They may look like nothing but they were seriously spicy.
Here are their normal wings in other flavors. I had the thai chili wings. Others at the table had Honey BBQ and Everything with lime.
I also got to try a Fried Twinkie for the first time. Actually, I've never even had a regular twinkie before because I think it just seems gross. The fried twinkie was good though!

Sorry about the picture quality, I forgot my camera and was using my i-phone again. Alondra's is at 515 W Main St Alhambra, CA 91801 if any of you guys want to try their challenge. Apparently, of the people that tried it, they had trouble going number 2 the next day because of how badly it burned. You have been warned!

Dilemma? I Think Not!

So what do you do when you have a friend who is turning the big 2-1, but she does not drink alcohol? She still needs to experience the joy of being carded while not getting crazy with all the lame people who go drinking for their 21st. Being the genius that I am... we went to Father's Office!

You get the best burger of your life, a bottle of coke and some sweet potatoes fries! Plus, you get to get carded at the door since it's technically a bar! All this, while remaining very PG, it was a story that she could tell to her kids & grandkids when they ask what she did for her crazy 21st. It was crazy...crazy delicious!
Look at this baby! Sure, it cost around $13? Probably the most expensive burger I've paid for, but well worth it! The garlic white sauce they give you is amazing!
You also get to decide how well done you want your burger. This is Rna's medium well. I got medium raw.
Me & my bestie Weheb got the sweet potato fries! Yum! You can even see our coke bottles in the back.

Sure, the bartenders may think you are losers for ordering 3 bottles of coke at a bar but why not? Best 21st birthday ever! I wish I had gone to Father's Office for my 21st!
